Mostly retired from the dangers of adventuring, Jackie has moved her focus more to her culinary life and studies of the stars beyond. Still her out going self, though a bit of a hot-head when displeased, be careful when mentioning if your are hungry around her, else you will find some manner of food shoved into your face.

Its very eye catching, to say the least.Will Feed You Even If You Don't Ask: Carrying around a large messenger bag, it is full to the brim with all kinds of hand-held foods for anyone who needs a bite to eat. She seems to always smell of fresh baked goods.Goldsmithing is Fun!: Focused more on her cooking, Jackie rarely shows the talent she has for goldsmithing in particular. However, when questioned about her globes or cutlery she will be more than happy to talk about her skills.Chocobo Phobia: Something she finds extremely embarrassing, given her love for birds, Jackie has a deep fear of chocobos. She doesn't know why, and is working on it, but she can still be very uncomfortable around chocobos.An Eldritch Call: Something unnatural is obvious about this woman. As nice as she can be, there are some unsettling vibes that are more akin to what lurks in the shadow behind her.

History

Past

Born in Gyr Abania, they where forced to flee from their homeland from the Garlean invasion when their tribe decided to run. Finding themselves in the Sagolii Desert, the tribe joined with a sister tribe. Here Jackie spent her earliest years in life, enjoying the freedom of being a child in the desert. Chasing scorpions, throwing sand at friends, it seemed Jackie had little to worry about.Until Jackie turned ten summers old. While fighting tooth and nail to stay with the tribe, they where taken to live in Sharlayan by a 'distant cousin'. Perhaps it was because of their uncanny ability to chart the stars at such a young age, or the need of Cousin Wanco De'Kez Kesunco to have a heir, but fate was set the moment Jackie stepped foot in the exclusive city. Being forced to learn all there was about Astrology and suffering the bland food Sharlayan had to offer, Jackie couldn't wait to set foot on the first ship out when they turned eighteen.After reaching Limsa Lominsa Jackie boarded an airship due to Ul'dah, having enough of the ocean. But not even an hour after flight the airship encountered disastrous problems with it's engine, which caused it to crash down in a fiery eruption. They where taken back to Sharlayan to recover by Wanco.It was because of this crash Jackie heard the call of the Crystal Mother, and found themselves blinded for months after due to The Echo that had awoken in them. Though it should have been a blessing, Jackie cursed the name of Hydaelyn for giving them a gift they did not want. After recovering from crash and getting a better hold of their Echo, which allowed them to see the star's at all times, Jackie left Sharlayan again for Thanalan, avoiding the airship travel this time and electing to simply go by boat.Having arrived within the first few months of the 7th Astral Era, Jackie set out on helping those they could with the after math of the Calamity, while also securing samples of flora and capturing fauna for Sharlayan's means, as per their job as a Gleaner. Not out of want, however, but out of feeling they where forced to by Hydaelyn and their cousin.After taking up a few gleaner jobs, Jackie was able to get a system for themselves in place with a 'Working hard to hardly work' attitude. She would admit herself, she isn't the best gleaner, but if it is a large pray item that needs to be snagged she was willing to do so with some convincing.After years of gleaning and traveling around Eorzea, Jackie found themselves in love with an Elezen Knight of Ishgard, Augrault Drainorent, and soon after made plans of marriage. Fate, of course, wanted to interfere. Gyr Abania was about to be taken back from The Empire and Augrault found himself on the front line of The Ghimlyt Dark. Weeks after the epic battle his shield was delivered to Jackie, who had the unfortunate experience of The Echo reacting to the item, and was forced to watch her love be lost to war.It was then Jackie had come to terms to her place in the plan of Hydaelyn. Whether she liked it or not, she had a roll to play in the grand scheme, it seems, and she would be forced into it whether she liked it or not. Jackie stopped replying to orders of gleaning after that, taking up her globe for different means.

Present

The recent past was one of growth and acceptance in Jackie, from gaining truly great friends and understanding she was a woman worth more than what fate played her. She has had rough encounters from being tricked and (quite literally) stabbed in the back by someone she thought she could trust. And though Jackie still holds resentment in her heart toward Wanco and Hydaelyn, she will do what she can to help the star.After the Final Days Jackie finds herself in a mix of pain. The Aetheric Petrification on her right side grows worse, and fears of an old enemy coming around to ruin peace has her on edge, and now she cares for a teenager who needs help fighting his personal battle. But, at the very least, there is still freedom. Having gained her Archon title from the hard work and dedication she put into her research, she has a lot to look forward to and is eager for another day.Recently a fight with a powerful enemy almost killed her, forcing her nephew to take drastic measures to save her life. As a result, Jackie became a hrothgar through unnatural means, but this transformation has given her a strong boost of confidence and sense of self she never had as a miqo'te. Perhaps, she was meant to be a hrothgar all along.

Archon Thesis

'The Evergazing Globe', or 'The Evergaze' for short, is the biggest part of Jackie's Archon Thesis. Able to filter aether from the stars into its main sphere, it can project current star positions, aether currents, and disturbances onto its surface with little delay.
Inspired by Jackie's own Echo ability, as well as the telescopes of Sharlayan used in tandem with The Scholar's Harbor to see hidden stars, the globe can tell its wielder the signs even in the deepest and darkest caves.
